This policy explains what information fvoip (operated by Beneffy Telecom) collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what's needed to run a phone service, we don't sell your data, and call content stays yours.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, company, billing address, email, and payment details when you sign up.
- Service data — call detail records (numbers, timestamps, durations), voicemail, and — if you enable it — call recordings. This is the data required to deliver and bill telephone service.
- Technical data — device registrations, IP addresses, and diagnostic logs used to keep calls connecting and to fight fraud.
- Website data — standard server logs and, if enabled, analytics on pages like this one.
How we use it
- To provide, route, and bill for voice and related services.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to telecommunications providers, including e911 location delivery and lawful-process responses.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and network attacks.
- To support you when you contact us.
What we don't do
- We do not sell customer information to third parties.
- We do not use the content of your calls, voicemails, or messages for advertising.
- We do not share Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) except as permitted by FCC rules or with your consent.
Call recordings and transcripts
Recording is off by default and controlled by your account administrators. Recordings and AI-generated transcripts are stored encrypted, retained according to the schedule your administrators configure, and accessible only to roles they authorize. You are responsible for complying with the call-recording consent laws that apply to your business.
Retention
Call detail records are retained as required for billing, tax, and regulatory purposes. Voicemail, messages, and recordings follow your configured retention settings and are deleted when your account closes, subject to legal holds.
Your choices
You can access and update account information in your portal, configure or disable recording, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting privacy@fvoip.com. If you are in a state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), those rights apply to you, and we honor them without discrimination.
